Welcome to the World!

So I'm gonna be totally honest...I don't want to offend anyone but seriously...I have to be true to myself. Sometimes when babies are born they're just NOT cute...not so in the case of Lauaki Tua Su'a, my new nephew. You guys, he is so adorable, and you know, maybe that's just the inner-Auntie in me, but I seriously love him with all my heart. I was a little nervous to actually meet him. What if I didn't love him, what if he wasn't that cute? What if he didn't like me? Well say goodbye to apprehension because as soon as I saw him I felt like crying, my heart melted and the miracle of love invaded every ounce of my body. All my fears and worries were washed away into the sea of trepidation. He is another completion to our Su'a family and I'm stricken with adoration for him! As if our lives couldn't be more blessed right?

Rugby All-Americans-Team Su'aside!

Oh my gosh you guys. Manti & Mikey BOTH made the All-American Rugby team....for those of you who do not share my enthusiasm for Rugby or my knowledge....let me break it down. Out of 20,000 players across the U.S. there were 44 boys selected for the team. According to AmericanRugbyNews.com "the Collegiate All-American selectors and coaches spent nearly NINE months on player identification, fitness testing-standards implementation, and monitoring to narrow that down to just 44 All-Americans and 30 honorable mentions." How could I NOT blog about this? I mean, watching Rugby is one thing...watching BOTH your brothers play, and excel at Rugby is another! I am so proud of them and I just want to congratulate them. I might have gone a little overboard on how many pix I posted but I just couldn't help myself. I love BYU...and I love my brothers. How exciting right?

Auckland, NZ

It's been a few months now since I've been home from the most wonderful vacation I've ever taken. New Zealand, Australia, and Samoa, alone are undescribable...combined they are more than I could ever ask for. Not to get too cheesy but I HAVE to thank my family...not only for paying for the trip but for all the support they have given me throughout my whole life. I owe you everything.
Onto the fun stuff....

Did you know that in NZ there are more sheep than people? We took a little time out of our night to pose with some sheep inspired items...silly girls.

This is Me & Ailia on a ferry on our way to Waiheke island....it was so windy! The day hot...as soon as we got on the ferry to go back to Auckland...it started raining...perfect timing!

I feel like I was born to be on a beach...no seriously...I am happiest when on the beach. This is a little place called "Tawharanui" it's a place only the "locals" know about. It took us about 2 hours to get there....but the drive was half the experience! Everywhere you looked there was lush green wonderfulness all around you...the view was incredible...the outlook was breathtaking.

When we left Auckland it was storming like crazy...once we got to Tawharanui.....clear blue sun filled skies!

I mustered up the courage to go cave diving...that's right...cave diving. It was a little scary...at one point I felt like "Penny" from Disney's "The Rescuers" when Madusa makes her go down into the cave to get the "diamond"...pretty intense.

On Sundays rather than stay in the house we would take a trip to Mission Bay and just chill on the beach....it was perfect weather...and it had a perfect view

Me, Ailia, & Jamie...I love this picture b/c the sun is totally blinding us but we HAVE to take the picture anyway ha ha ha!

While I was in NZ my friends took me to the "Museum of Auckland" where I found...my own personal Kiwi bird....which still exist today.

One day Ailia and I decided to go on a jungle hike...don't you love the jungle???

In NZ they have what they call a "Hens Night" we know it better as a "Bachelorette Party." They go all out at these hens nights...we all had to dress up...the theme was "Girls in Uniforms" I was in the Navy and the bride-to-be was a Pilot. So fun.

While I was on the ferry I snapped this shot of the Auckland Skyline....what a looker eh?

Victim

It was just another manic Monday last week, I decided to go to the ever-strenuous step class that I go to every Monday. For some reason it was particularly difficult this time 'round. I made it through the whole class picked up what was left of my tired body and went on living life as I usually do. The next morning bright and early my mom came downstairs and asked me a very peculiar question "would you like to see a baby be born?" My reaction (mind you I'm dead asleep when she asks me that question) Am I in health class? DING! My baby nephew is on his way into this world! YES! However, in my experience babies take a LONG time to come into this world so I thought I would finish sleeping and then make my way down to Provo. 2 hours later I woke up and for some reason had such a hard time moving, wow that class last night really did it's job. I had a headache but decided to ignore it. While I was sleeping the baby was born (yes that quick). Lauaki Tua Su'a weighed in at 6 lbs. 8 oz. 21 in. He's such a darling darling baby. As I was visiting my little nephew my body started to ache and ache and I started to feel funny. I started thinking it might be best if I left to get some medicine. By the time I got home I could barely hold myself up, and I couldn't breathe....what was going on with my body? The next day I couldn't stand it anymore and I went to the dr. OUTCOME: Swine Flu. You guessed it...I am a victim of this horrible illness. I hope and pray that none of you EVER experience the swine flu. I have no idea how I picked it up....it's just my luck (is my reasoning). Luckily my nephew wasn't affected by me and he's alive and well...and so cute! Life goes on oh-blah-dee-oh-blah-dah.
