Auckland, NZ

It's been a few months now since I've been home from the most wonderful vacation I've ever taken. New Zealand, Australia, and Samoa, alone are undescribable...combined they are more than I could ever ask for. Not to get too cheesy but I HAVE to thank my family...not only for paying for the trip but for all the support they have given me throughout my whole life. I owe you everything.
Onto the fun stuff....

Did you know that in NZ there are more sheep than people? We took a little time out of our night to pose with some sheep inspired items...silly girls.

This is Me & Ailia on a ferry on our way to Waiheke island....it was so windy! The day hot...as soon as we got on the ferry to go back to Auckland...it started raining...perfect timing!

I feel like I was born to be on a beach...no seriously...I am happiest when on the beach. This is a little place called "Tawharanui" it's a place only the "locals" know about. It took us about 2 hours to get there....but the drive was half the experience! Everywhere you looked there was lush green wonderfulness all around you...the view was incredible...the outlook was breathtaking.

When we left Auckland it was storming like crazy...once we got to Tawharanui.....clear blue sun filled skies!

I mustered up the courage to go cave diving...that's right...cave diving. It was a little scary...at one point I felt like "Penny" from Disney's "The Rescuers" when Madusa makes her go down into the cave to get the "diamond"...pretty intense.

On Sundays rather than stay in the house we would take a trip to Mission Bay and just chill on the beach....it was perfect weather...and it had a perfect view

Me, Ailia, & Jamie...I love this picture b/c the sun is totally blinding us but we HAVE to take the picture anyway ha ha ha!

While I was in NZ my friends took me to the "Museum of Auckland" where I found...my own personal Kiwi bird....which still exist today.

One day Ailia and I decided to go on a jungle hike...don't you love the jungle???

In NZ they have what they call a "Hens Night" we know it better as a "Bachelorette Party." They go all out at these hens nights...we all had to dress up...the theme was "Girls in Uniforms" I was in the Navy and the bride-to-be was a Pilot. So fun.

While I was on the ferry I snapped this shot of the Auckland Skyline....what a looker eh?

Victim

It was just another manic Monday last week, I decided to go to the ever-strenuous step class that I go to every Monday. For some reason it was particularly difficult this time 'round. I made it through the whole class picked up what was left of my tired body and went on living life as I usually do. The next morning bright and early my mom came downstairs and asked me a very peculiar question "would you like to see a baby be born?" My reaction (mind you I'm dead asleep when she asks me that question) Am I in health class? DING! My baby nephew is on his way into this world! YES! However, in my experience babies take a LONG time to come into this world so I thought I would finish sleeping and then make my way down to Provo. 2 hours later I woke up and for some reason had such a hard time moving, wow that class last night really did it's job. I had a headache but decided to ignore it. While I was sleeping the baby was born (yes that quick). Lauaki Tua Su'a weighed in at 6 lbs. 8 oz. 21 in. He's such a darling darling baby. As I was visiting my little nephew my body started to ache and ache and I started to feel funny. I started thinking it might be best if I left to get some medicine. By the time I got home I could barely hold myself up, and I couldn't breathe....what was going on with my body? The next day I couldn't stand it anymore and I went to the dr. OUTCOME: Swine Flu. You guessed it...I am a victim of this horrible illness. I hope and pray that none of you EVER experience the swine flu. I have no idea how I picked it up....it's just my luck (is my reasoning). Luckily my nephew wasn't affected by me and he's alive and well...and so cute! Life goes on oh-blah-dee-oh-blah-dah.

Australia

Put another shrimp on the barbie! G'day mate....Aussie welcomes you! Upon my travels to the South Pacific I spent a couple days in Austrlia...the "Outback" (not the restaraunt)...I think that when you travel to countries such as these it is only appropriate to allow yourself MONTHS to see the sights and enjoy yourself. However, I was only "allowed" a few days...just enough time for me to get attached and torn away from the wonderful Land down under!

This is my effervescent cousin Jules...we're at Harbor Bay in Sydney...we took a ferry around the bay to get to all the "crackin" places...Sydney is gi-normous, taking the ferry cut our travel time in half...I gotta give props to Jules, she knew her way around the city like the back of her hand...times...places...schedules she was so on top of everything! It made my life a lot more enjoyable...especially with the heat and humidity as it was summertime while I was there.

Walking around downtown in Sydney there are so many amazing statues, buildings, sights, and this was right outside a cafe where we imposed for some breakfast.

How could I visit Australia and not take a picture with my very own Joey? I mean...Aussie or Oz (which is what the Australians literally refer to Australia as)is famous for their Joeys right?

I LOVE this photo b/c it makes me feel like a native...me with a dig-er-y-do. Love it.

The Sydney Opera House....Been there done that....loved it!

Whistle While You Work

Who lied to me & told me I could/would be a good nurse? My dad recently had surgery on his knee...since I don't have a life (right now at least) I was nominated, and when I say nominated I mean I didn't have a choice, to be his "nurse." I don't mind this whatsoever, I love my dad so much I would go to the moon and back for him, b/c I know he would do the exact same thing for me. However, I DO mind the fact that someone gave him a whistle. Ahem....who did it!? I will find you...I will hunt you down and you will receive the beat down of your life, well...at least verbally. Somebody take it away! I can't b/c I'm too nice...obviously...I don't know who invented the whistle but I honestly have never been a fan....they're annoying.

BYU Rugby dethrones, stuns & claims victory from Cal!

Is this the face of a champ or what? Poor Manti...broke his nose, got kicked in the face whilst making a tri-saving tackle! You guys! I can't even tell you how extremely extatic & overwhelmed with joy I am! THEY DID IT! BYU RUGBY 2009 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! Translation: Absolutely NUMBER 1 in the NATION! They had a PERFECT SEASON 18-0...UNDEFEATED! I'm so sorry if this post is killing some of you guys...but do you even know how hard they worked? Ok so let's get down to brass tax....one of my favorite girls in the world (Jennifer Newman) was our correspondent since the games were held in California...she kept my whole family updated through text messages (thank heaven for technology) her texts went a little something like this...."down at the half 22-10 them Mikey has had some really great plays......two of our men are out due to yellow cards....22-19 them....22-21 them one minute left.....WE WIN!!! 25-22!" Our family was overjoyed!!! They gave Mikey the game ball (what an honor). I'm just so happy for the team...I feel like they are all my brothers. I'm so glad Manti was able to experience this in his Rugby career, he graduates this year. Way to go BYU....and you ask why I'm a fan...c'mon! Ha ha ha! I love it!

Team Su'a-cide...BYU Rugby!

Jean-Pierre Rives once said "The whole point of Rugby is that it is, first & foremost a state of mind, a spirit." Rugby is a "real" mans sport. Any of you who have watched a game or even caught a glimpse of it will realize instantly that it is not for the faint of heart. In my life I have more or less ALWAYS been a rugby fan...if not of the game then of the players (Rubgy guys are hot). However, for the past 4 years my attention has been focused on a more familiar rugby atmosphere of the Provo persuasion. BYU. My brother Manti started playing for the team in 2005 (if my memory serves me correctly). My brother Mikey joined shortly after returning from his mission in 2007. Since then the Su'a brothers have been a thrill to watch on the field.

Where Manti is lean, & quick it's obvious he's built for speed. All the while Mikey is thick-set, & stalwart, clearly marked for strength...with their forces combined they are nothing less than commanding. One of their games was aired on ESPN-U. *funny tid bit* On Manti's profile (that the announcer was reading from) it stated that "Manti is the brother of Mikey, with a less-combative attitude." I got a kick out of that. Other games are currently airing on KBYU.

This weekend they will be traveling to the Sunshine State (California) to the Stanford campus for their fifth straight appearance in the USA's Rugby Big Four, translation: the BCS Championship of Rugby. BYU's season has been perfect thus far (16-0). It will be a tough competition for them. In situations such as these I believe it is appropriate to "cross our fingers."
This is Manti's last season *tear* however, Mikey will be carrying on the Su'a name within the Colliegate realm of Rugby. "No sked 'em go get 'em!"

Moral Dilemma Outcome

I didn't go. I hung out with friends instead...the night was "blah" as many of my nights are/have been/will be. You guys, Spring is always my favorite time of year, but this year it's just like.....icky. I don't know what it is but it's bugging me. Maintain a positive attitude right? Well I am. Don't worry about me...I'll be fine. However, a new moral dilemma has come up..well it's the same one....I didn't go out with that guy but SOMEHOW (I seriously don't even know how it happened) he committed me to this thursday! WTF? Ugh...maybe I need counseling or something. I'm irritating myself! Ok *deep breath* I can do this....right? eh?
Right now I'm supposed to be doing "school stuff" but Facebook is side tracking me...and now my attention is focused on blogging. You guys there's this creepy "chester the molester" type of guy sitting about three rows ahead of me and he keeps staring...gross. There's a girl sitting four computers down from me and she keeps singing...random. Anyway, this is a random blog, but I HAD to get my frustrations out. Thank goodness for blogging!
